How do I delete my account?
Open Gavera → Settings → tap "Delete account" at the bottom → confirm. All your data — preferences, friends, events, recommendations — is permanently removed immediately. Backups containing your data are purged within 30 days.
How does Gavera handle dietary requirements and allergies?
Gavera does not filter venues by dietary requirements or allergies. We're a discovery tool that surfaces venues your group will enjoy based on taste, time, and distance — confirming whether a venue's menu fits your dietary needs is something only you can do reliably. Always check the menu or contact the venue directly before ordering, especially for allergies. Gavera is not a medical advisor and is not a substitute for confirming allergen safety with the venue itself.
Why am I getting fewer than 5 recommendations?
Gavera only returns venues that fully satisfy the group's criteria — open during the time window, within distance, and matching the group's preferences. If fewer than 5 qualify, we return only the ones that do, rather than padding with bad matches. Try widening the radius or shifting the time window.
Why are my friends not appearing in search?
They need to have a Gavera account first. If they don't, send them an invite link from the Friends tab → tap the person+ icon. The link works once they install the app.
How do I edit my preferences after onboarding?
Settings → Edit preferences. You'll see the swipe deck again, with previously-rated tags shown so you can change your mind, and a "What's new" tab for any tags added since you last swiped.
Does Gavera work outside London?
Yes. Gavera works wherever you create a plan — when you set the meeting location, the app searches for venues in real time around the spot you choose. Coverage and venue quality are strongest in London since that's where we've tested most, but the app isn't geofenced and you're welcome to use it anywhere in the UK. If recommendations look thin in your area, drop us a note at hello@gavera.uk — it helps us prioritise where to deepen the catalogue next.
I think I've been billed — but Gavera is free, right?
Gavera does not charge any fees. We have no in-app purchases or subscriptions. Any charge on your statement claiming to be Gavera is not from us and is not authentic — please contact your bank directly to dispute it.

The fastest way is in the app: Settings → Report an issue. It captures your device, iOS version, and recent activity automatically and sends it straight to us — much more useful than a description from memory.
